Finnish symphonic metal band Memoira is releasing their newest single Dollmaker on September 5th. The epic song is loosely based on to the world of widely known fairy tale novel, Pinocchio.

 

"The story of the song is seen from the dollmaker's persperctive, who fervently hopes for a son of his own, with whom he can share the joys and sorrows of life. He decides to build a puppet out of wood and hopes it will come to life. The recurring themes are the challenges and responsibility brought about by parenting and upbringing, as well as the wisdom and lessons learned from life experiences."

 

The Dollmaker single will be released first as a single edit version, after which the song will be released in it's entirety later as part of a larger EP. A music video is also in the works for the song.
