BIO
Memoira is a symphonic and melodic metal band from Finland, founded in 2007. Known for their big,
atmospheric and epic soundscape, Memoira combines powerful melodic metal and symphonic, ethereal
orchestrations into one continuous flow of storytelling.
During their career of over 15 years, Memoira has released three albums, one EP and several singles, and
their music is listened to daily around the world. The band's output has built an international fan base and
established its position in the field of modern symphonic metal.
Since 2023, the band has operated with its current line-up, with Krista Astrid Schröter as the vocalist.
The renewed line-up has brought new energy to the band's sound and stage performance. The singles
Cryonic Heart (2024), Emerald Eyes (2024) and the EP Dollmaker (2026) released with this line-up have
increased the band's audience and visibility.
The band's most recent release is the single IKIGAI (Memories). The release celebrates life and memories and opens the door to a well-known Japanese philosophy of life. Ikigai is a Japanese philosophical concept that refers to something that gives a person a sense of meaning or a reason to live. IKIGAI (Memories) continues the band's line, offering both familiar and new oriental tones to the band's sound.
